Policies and Procedures
Christ Church Pre-School’s Policies and Procedures are available in the setting during every session, should you wish to read them.

Clothing
Please send children to pre-school in comfortable clothing which will be safe when using the climbing apparatus and easy to manage when using the toilet. Although the children wear aprons when painting, gardening, gluing, playing in the water tray or cooking, sometimes clothes get dirty so please don’t send children in their best clothes. Please name as much of your child’s clothing as possible.

The children will have the opportunity during all weather conditions to play, explore and use the outside space whilst at Pre-School, so please ensure your child’s coat is named and left at Pre-School for them should they wish to play outside.

We also ask you to provide a named bag of spare, named clothing to be kept at Pre-School. These are to be used if your child becomes wet or messy when playing. Children who are currently being toilet trained will need to bring in their own nappies/pull ups, wipes and nappy sacks and an additional change of clothes to cover the possibility of soiled clothing due to leaks. Please make sure these are in a clearly named bag.

Any prescribed creams should be handed to the Early Years Leader and a Medication Form will be completed and signed.

Snacks
We operate a healthy eating policy at Christ Church Pre-School and healthy snacks are offered to all children at every session. These include a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, breads, crackers and cheeses along with a drink of milk or water. Drinking water for the children to access independently, is available at all times throughout the session. Children are encouraged to be independent and help themselves to a drink and snack during the session. The daily snack menus are displayed on the notice board.

Please let us know when filling out the registration forms if your child is allergic or intolerant to anything or has any special dietary requirements.
